DETAILED CASE

How the equipment was engineered.

Production context, equipment design, scope of delivery and verified customer value.

01 / Customer challenge

A/S J.N. Bech needed to improve the capacity of its inspection and packaging process for customized glass panes while improving operator safety and ergonomics.

The production mix included significant variation in pane size and weight, from smaller formats to large and heavy glass panes. The equipment therefore needed to support flexible handling across product variants while reducing manual lifting.

02 / Engineered solution

DIS Systems developed and delivered a flexible one-piece-flow packaging line for quality inspection and finished packaging.

The solution is based on customized standard equipment and combines roller conveyors, an integrated cutting table for wrapping paper, a flipping table, a strapping machine and side loading and unloading for heavy glass panes.

Custom-sized cardboard boxes are prepared on demand, reducing the need to hold packaging variants in stock. The line supports operation by one or multiple operators depending on the production requirement, with operator safety and ergonomics central to the handling concept.

The project included onsite observation, ideation and concept generation, mechanical and structural engineering, electrical and automation design, push-button operation, machine safety and CE marking, production and assembly, FAT, installation, SAT and onsite service support.
