01 / Customer challenge

Topsoe was establishing a new production facility in China and needed dedicated equipment for the monolith impregnation process.

The machines had to accommodate a broad range of monolith variants and different process fluids while measuring the amount of fluid absorbed during impregnation.

A key requirement was complete product traceability, with relevant production data transferred to the customer’s central SCADA system.

02 / Engineered solution

DIS Systems developed, manufactured and commissioned four custom impregnation machines for the new facility.

The machines were engineered to handle different monolith variants, immerse products in the required process fluids and measure fluid uptake as part of the production process.

Mechanical and structural engineering, electrical design, PLC/HMI automation and machine safety were developed as one machine solution.

Production data was integrated with Topsoe’s SCADA environment to provide traceability for each processed product. The project included production, in-house FAT, installation and commissioning in China, SAT and ongoing remote and onsite service.
